Dear Water Customer,
New federal laws require us to inventory all water service lines in our service area. A service line is the underground pipe that carries water from the water main, likely in the street, into your home or building. We need to determine the material that your service line is made of, which means we will need your help.
Service lines are often copper, plastic, lead, or galvanized iron or steel. Older homes and buildings may have a lead service line. Drinking water is free from lead when it leaves our water treatment plant. However, water can absorb lead as it travels through lead pipes on its way to your faucet. Lead can cause serious health problems. If you have a lead service line, we need to take steps to reduce your lead exposure risk. Knowing your service line material is very important for your health and safety!
Customer Survey We need your help to find lead pipes. Please complete the attached survey as soon as possible. If you need help locating your service line or determining the material type, contact us at Tricia Pintar 702-636-6672 – [email protected]. Return the completed survey form and a photo (e.g., taken with your cell phone) of the service line coming into the building.

Las nuevas leyes federales nos exigen hacer un inventario de todas las líneas de servicio de agua en nuestra área de servicio. Una línea de servicio es la tubería subterránea que transporta agua desde la tubería principal, probablemente en la calle, hasta su casa o edificio. Necesitamos determinar el material del que está hecha su línea de servicio, lo que significa que necesitaremos su ayuda. Las líneas de servicio suelen ser de cobre, plástico, plomo o hierro o acero galvanizado. Las casas y edificios más antiguos pueden tener una línea de servicio de plomo. El agua potable está libre de plomo cuando sale de nuestra planta de tratamiento de agua. Sin embargo, el agua puede absorber plomo a medida que viaja a través de tuberías de plomo en su camino hacia el grifo. El plomo puede causar graves problemas de salud.
