March 28, 2020
Dear Homeowner or Resident,
This letter is being included with the quarterly water bill to all homeowners and residents in a community effort to let everyone know we understand this is a time of hardship for some and everyone has been impacted in one way or another.
During this pandemic, all water users’ water was restored, regardless of the current payment status and no one will be shut off due to lack of payment until the crisis is over. Should you find yourself in a hardship, please contact Utility Services at 702-556-8069 or Tricia Pintar at 702-772-2407. We will work with you. Late fees have been suspended temporarily and for accounts past due prior to this crisis, you still owe the outstanding amount plus the current quarter. Please contact us to make payment arrangements.
We have some residences with leaks on the homeowner side of the water box and others who are draining pools or allowing water to run off the property. This is a reminder to everyone, water is to stay on your property, if you need to drain a pool or water the yard, keep all water on the property, contact us for more information and ideas on how to accomplish that. Water running down the street and leaks not repaired in a timely fashion, will be assessed the water waste fee of $75.
We have a new board is as follows:
Tricia Pintar – President
Joe Meza – Vice President
Don Layton – Treasurer
Linda Knudsen – Secretary
John Hunt – Water Master
Richard Avila – Board Member
Tonya Johnson – Board Member
The Hillcrest Manor Water Users Association has a website where you can obtain emergency information and updates, the current board meeting minutes will be published to create transparency. Anyone wishing to get more information can access the website or talk to Utility Services or one of the board members listed. The website is www.hmwua.org there are contact links on the website as well as other useful information.
We are a community and we are all in this together, please stay safe and if you are in need, reach out. Please don’t assume we know your situation, if you don’t contact us, we won’t do it for you.
